Every property is a sight worth being seen in itself. We will jump the chance to visit one of them. We will have a conducted tour to the Citrus Museum located in the Perivoli Mansion. We will see the production of Chios' spoon - sweets, visit the orchard and enjoy some greek coffee in its garden.  The Kampos plain, with its medieval architecture and its incomparable charm always wins unlimited admiration.

Our next stop is to the historic Monastery of Aghios Minas. The Monastery was built at the end of 1500, probably between 1572 and 1595, by the Reverent Neofytos Koumanos and his son Minas. Since 1932 it has been converted into a nuns’ monastery. The monastery is known for the storage of the skeletal remaining of ‘the 40 victims’ from the Massacre of Chios in 1822 by the Turks. On May 30, 1822 the Turks slaughtered 3000 women and children in the monastery. The evidences of this beastly action are still mirrored in the blood stained stones on the floor.

We will continue our tour to the Folcloric Museum of Kallimasia. The original collection includes items from the settlements of Kallimasia and Kini and it was hosted in a room in the secondary school. Later the facilities of the oil press, the ouzo distillery, the forge, the tailor shop and the shoes shop were represented in order to mirror in detail these occupations. Today the museum displays more than 5000 items with one of the richest collections of Folklore interest in Greece and constitutes one of the best Greek Folklore Museums. The collection includes tools of more than 30 occupations, most of which are locals’ donations.
