Η διαδρομή ενώνει το χωριό Άγιο Γάλας με το εγκαταλελειμμένο, από το 1960 περίπου, οικισμό του Αγίου Γιάννη και περιλαμβάνει αξιόλογα μνημεία της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς και της φύσης του νησιού.

Starting Point: Agios Ioannis
he route connects the village of Agios Galas with the abandoned, since 1960, settlement of Agios Giannis and includes remarkable monuments of cultural heritage and nature of the island. It is suggested to start from Agios Giannis, so that we can take advantage of the smooth slope to Agios Galas and have time to see the points of interest after the end of the route. Access to the abandoned settlement of Agios Giannis is by vehicle from a well-passable dirt road, which starts about one and a half kilometers after Agios Galas, as we head to Nenitouria.
At the starting point in Agios Giannis is a large oak, where there is a rest area.
From this point start two small dead ends, one to the observatory and the water source at the base of a plane tree and one that leads between the abandoned houses of the settlement, to the church of the same name. To continue we must return to the resting point, where we continue on a dirt road until entering the path.
Along the way we will meet again a dirt road, which on the left leads to the church of Ag. Spyridon while on the right it continues to Agios Galas. The dirt road continues on a path to the point where there is a viewing point with a wooden pavilion. From the point we can have a great view to Agios Galas, the Aegean and Psara, while to our right, opposite the ravine there is the special rock formation "of the Buddha the cliff".
The path is easy, clear with a smooth slope and crosses old agricultural areas (mainly cereals) which are no longer cultivated. Typical are the at least four threshing floors that are still visible along the route. From this point until the entrance to Agios Galas, the route is paved to the church of Agia Varvara. Arriving at Agios Galas, we walk in its streets, following the signage, with final destination the church of Agios Thaleleios, whose name was the first name of the village. Then descending we will visit Panagia Agiogalousaina (to visit the church, one must ask for the key from the villagers) and finally the cave of Agios Galaktos.
